Wonder Con 2016

Wonder Con was held in Los Angeles this year, a departure from the usual Anaheim location. Per expectations, Wonder Con was HUGE, with a gigantic dealer's room full of pretty much anything you could imagine. Panel variety was good and the guest list did not disappoint.

What needs improvement is the badge pick-up configuration. It seems to me the has to be a better way to accomplish this. Comikaze had us in and out of badge pick-up in under 15 mins. Wonder Con lines on Friday morning for badge pick-up were up to an hour and slow moving.

The other down side to this year's event was the location. The LA Convention Center is what it is and the security staff can often be misguided. Several photo meet ups were canceled and cosplay photo shoots had to be relocated because security staff deemed them terrorist threats. Our film crew had to relocate 3 times. We understand the need for weapons checks etc....but security guys - head's up, shutting down a photo shoot of a group of cosplayers isn't really where your focus should be. Just saying.
